Reminds me a lot of Wario Ware games. It is just the right amount of weird, yet simple to understand and make me keep playing to see what will happen next. It is a bit on the short side, but I hope to see this concept expanded into a longer game. Loved the boss at the end!

So, why does this game has such a low score? Is it too frustrating? I bet a lot of people didn't even try to double jump to avoid some obstacles. And while it makes it a bit easier, it is still frustrating. But better be frustrating and fun, like this game, than frustrating and boring, like Flappy Bird.
However, it does feel like a game that could use a bit more polishing. Ability to duck would come in handy which would also give the player more to do and worry about. Enemy placement sometimes can be so random it is impossible to dodge. But, I bet those problems cold be fixed with an update. It would be more friendly without losing it's frustration element.
Graphics, setting and overall idea is great, no complaints here.
I also like how you get points both from surviving and collecting coins. It is a nice twist.
Here is hoping we see an updated version :)

Nice remake of a game & watch classic. Would love to see more of those remakes :)

After all these episodes it got kinda repetitive, but every beat em up game is a bit repetitive. And I just can't help it but to love this series. Imaginative special attacks are what make this game great and it is not about finishing the game, it is about unlocking all the attacks and trying to use them in most imaginative way you can. So, yeah, if there is one word to describe this game, and previous hobo games, that word would be imaginative. Too bad this is the last one since there is plenty more to explore (Hobo:Fantasy Brawl, Hobo in Pixel Land, Hobo vs. Four Horseman, the possibilities are just endless), but, to be honest, it is a satisfying ending and I will look forward to play your next game :)

Thank you! The possibilities are definitely endless and I can come up with countless ideas for our dear Hobo, but I think the series has run its course, at least for now, and I'm busy focusing on other bigger projects that take up all my time. I'm so glad you like the series and thank you for the 5 stars and the great review! :)

I was so hyped about this game and you didn't disappoint.
It was a great throwback to an NG classic and a great introduction for those who haven't played original Pico's School. The fact that this was made in one week makes it even more impressive.
The art was great, gameplay is simple and smooth and the music is better then I expected it to be.
Oh, and one thing that every second review mentions, where you shoot the guy who throws scat at you, yeah, put that in and make a medal out of it It is one detail but details make games great.
I really hope you are planning to make a sequel :)

I've had a great time playing this game. Controls are spot on, art is good although a bit boring when you realize that all 25 levels are in the same laboratory, bosses are pretty much all the same, but the fact that there are 5 bosses makes me very happy.
All in all, great game, could use a bit more polish, would be great for iphones and androids.

Okay, Wobly, I have to tell you something. I like your games, I really do. But this, this is so unoriginal. I have nothing against making sequels, but if you are going to make one, make it better than the first one. This is the basically a level pack for the first Gravity Duck.
I would be lying if I told you that I haven't enjoyed the game. I did. The level design is great, controls are spot on and the graphics are nice.
But it seems to me that you haven't listen to your fans.
I've read many suggestions in the reviews for the first game about having differently themed levels, playing as a Duck with a hat after you finish the game, making music less monotonous, etc.
Non of that was implemented here.
The music is still boring, the theme of the levels is always the same (the city this time), and seriously, why haven't you put Ms. Duck as a playable character? It may seem like a minor nitpick, but at least that would give it some replay value. As it is, you beat it once and you don't have any reason whatsoever to go back to this game.
I understand the simplicity you are going for, and I am all for that, but some improvements must be made if you are making a sequel.
How about making 7 or 8 worlds, each themed differently, each one having different set of enemies, each having 10 stages, maybe some bosses at the end of each world, more characters, a world map...
This have so much potential and you are making it as simple as you can. Really?
I am sorry for being so harsh, but this is a disappointment.
I hope you will take some of my points into account when you make a new one (if there is going to be a new Gravity Duck).
Again, sorry for being harsh, but I just hate to see a mediocre game that should have been great.
Best of luck with your next game.

A great tribute to NES

I don't usually write long reviews but damn it, this game deserves it.
Is it the ultimate NES tribute? Yes, so far it is, but it could have been better. Now, don't get me wrong, I LOVE this game. The main character is awesome, the story is so silly and so NES-like, and all the video games and pop cultural references are top notch. Gameplay is great too. Every single stage plays and feels like the game it parodies.
But as I was playing the game I was saying more and more "Gosh, I wish they added "this" or "that" in the game.", and by that I mean that there are so many missed opportunities. For example, Zelda stage, dear god, I have so many problems with this one, not because it is hard or because you have to backtrack constantly, but it is so damn boring. Couldn't there be an RPG styled battle against a mini-boss, or a Bomberman mini-boss in the Zelda stage which you would battle in a true Bomberman fashion. Seriously, how could you not think of Bomberman? That would be freakin awesome. With that said, the Old Man boss is probably the best boss of the game.
I would say Little Mac was the best boss, but man, he is way too easy.
Speaking of bosses, every single boss fight was amazing. It is like a cherry on the top of an ice-cream of every level.
And the use of enemies is just perfect. Shy Guy's in Zelda dungeon, Blaster Master in Mega Man stage (which has the best use of enemies), Jason in Contra stage...this game is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you are gonna get.
I also have to mention medals. I am not a big fan of medals in any game, but in this one it works. Medals are imaginative and funny and they are nice for some replayability. Still, I don't think I will work my ass off to beat Balloon Fight level without being hit. Finding secret medals was fun too.
Was I disappointed by the game? Not at all. I like every minute that I spend with it, but like I said, I would like to see RPG battle and Bomberman battle, just to spice things up in the Zelda level. Hope you can update the game with those features.
And heck, why wouldn't you update it every now and then with some new cameos and mini-bosses :)
So yeah, that is it from me. Thank you for making such a wonderful game and for making my free time less boring :D

Not my cup of tea, but still this has impressed me

Even though it is not my cup of tea, I liked it. It is dark, disturbing and interesting enough to make me finish the demo even though it is hard as hell, but I like hard games so that is a plus. Great artwork and music is stunning. Don't have much else to say. Simple put it is a game worth buying :)

Fingers will break!

I will say it right away, I liked it. It is simple, not very easy as some might suspect and it really made my hand hurt.

I liked the characters. Slowpoke in a tractor? Pricless! Characters are actually the main reason that kept me going to finish the game, I wanted to see who am I racing next, but sadly it was just to hard for me to finish it.
I liked the intro music and in-game music i nice as well, but is surely could be better.

Graphics are "you love it or hate it" type. I think it fits nicely

To be honest, even though I give this game a ten, it is not really a great game but it has a great potential. I would really like to see a sequel, with selectable characters, more music and better graphics., even though I liked graphics in this one. And maybe you should try a menu written in latin and not cyrillic alphabet. It will be more accessible.

Hope you will make more great games soon :)

Just a regular guy making cartoons to entertain people :)
